The governor’s son-in-law, wife, son-in-law, brother, sister, and Riau Regional Secretary’s aide were appointed as new officials. On the other hand, many officials who have qualifications have been promoted or do not get positions.

Responding to this, the Riau Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) plans to form a special committee (Pansus) to investigate the appropriateness of the appointed officials.

This was stated by the Chairperson of the Riau DPRD Democratic Faction, Agung Nugroho, to Riau Pos (Jawapos / Pojoksatu.id group) on Thursday (1/9/2020) yesterday.

Agung Nugroho said, the proposal to form a special committee had arrived from several factions in the DPRD Riau.

“Indeed, several factions have suggested that this be investigated. Because after the inauguration there were many questions from the public. Why officials who have competence but instead are non-job, there are many officials from the regions. Plus there is an issue that is inaugurated as a relative of the leader who served, “said Agung.

Agung said that the plan to form a special committee was indeed merely a proposal. Later, through plenary, the council will ask for proposals from factions to be submitted officially. So that the people’s representatives can make a special agenda. So far, he said, the formation of the special committee had been conveyed orally to the Riau DPRD leadership.

“Why is this important, because it concerns the performance of the government in running the APBD. At the same time answering questions from the public, does the newly appointed official have competence, “he explained.

When asked, when the board will hold a meeting, he said he would do it in the near future. Even if it is likely to be held next week.

1. Governor’s Son-in-law
Riau Governor Syamsuar’s son-in-law, Tika Rahmi Syafitri was appointed as Head of the Subdivision (Head of Subdivision) of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Riau Province.

2. Wife of Secretary of Riau
Fariza, the wife of Riau Regional Secretary Yan Prana Jaya was appointed as Head of Development (Head) of the Riau Regional Personnel Agency (BKD). Fariza was previously a staff of the Riau BKD.

3. Riau Regional Secretary
Prasurya Darma, elder brother of Riau Province Secretary Yan Prana was appointed as Secretary of the Riau Province Social Service.

4. Secretary of Riau Regional Secretary
Dedi Herman who is the younger brother of Riau Province Secretary Yan Prana was appointed as the Head of the Riau Police Satpol Ops.
